Question

Hi. Hope you can work your magic again-you helped me fix the OBC light in my 1987 BMW 325is. Same car with stock radio that doesn’t get good reception on NPR classical music station (103.9). The music is sometimes mixed with another station, unclear, with static etc. When the music was on NPR’s other station (87.9) it was fine but 103.9 is a much weaker station and therefore my hope is to increase the reception without replacing the original radio as the car is still original. Hope this fits a car problem. Thanks

Answer

Hello Mr. D’Agrosa, there is a product called an FM signal amplifier which should help your issue given the fact that you want to keep your factory radio.

I cannot offer an opinion on a specific model as I have never used one or even know someone who has. If you do a google search with the term “car fm signal amplifier” you see a lot of options, there tend to be relatively cheap but usually have mixed reviews.

Hope this helps, good luck and please let me know the results if you do try to use one ? Thank you.
