2006 325xi 146,000 miles. The key fob(s) will not lock/unlock any door. Fob will lock/unlock the rear hatch. We tried both fobs with no success. The “key” enclosed in the fob will lock/unlock the driver’s door. The white lock/unlock button on the dash does nothing. The fob allows the car to start & shut off. All of this just started this morning.

Hello Mr. West, the key has 2 separate functions, one is to start the vehicle and the other is the keyless entry. Since the trunk locks and unlocks with the key it looks like the vehicle is receiving the signal. This indicates that the issue is likely not with the key but with one of the lock actuators for one of the doors. Keep in mind it could be something else in the vehicle as all of these functions are computer controlled. The only way to know for sure is to use a scan tool with BMW software.
