We’re on the road with our 740i (e38)for the next few weeks. The highlight so far has been attending the Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix 2021. Our hosts were the Allegheny BMW club. What great time!
Great vintage road racing through Pittsburgh neighborhood of Schenley Park and spectacular car viewing. Friday was a BMW club sponsored brisk tour of the countryside and evening BBQ. The highlight of the PVGP for me was a hot lap around the track in an M3 driven by Mike Renner from the BMW Performance Center. This is a bucket list event for any car lover.
Special thanks to Monte Hamsher from Performance Motor Werks for preparing our e38 for our long drive. Kudos to him and his team.
Take care and we’re off to Watkins Glen.

The checkered flag dropped on our last race on Sunday afternoon around 5:30 PM as our Over 2-Litre race completed its session in Schenley Park. It was a fabulous event and thanks go out to our sponsors, spectators, racers, participants, and the City of Pittsburgh.
