FSC BMW’s participate in the 5th Annual Oktoberfest
Twenty Two FSC BMW’s traveled to Punta Gorda, Florida to participate in the 5th Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 3rd. The event was hosted again by the Mercedes Benz Club of America of SW Florida. FSC members from all over the state; Ocala to Ft Lauderdale, from Marco Island to The Villages and all points in between converged upon downtown Punta Gorda to take in sights, sounds and aromas of Oktoberfest 2015. MBCA organizing representative Tom Starret noted the show of enthusiasm demonstrated by FSC members was a remarkable dedication to the club and to the BMW brand. FSC event organizer Stan Dale said, “We more than doubled last year’s Show Car participation. FSC Members were offered the opportunity to enter their BMW as a Show Car back in July. RSVP’s for the Show Car spots were filled with 3-4 days following the announcement. AND 100% of the RSVP’d Show Cars attended the event. I’m very proud of our members”.
Attendees enjoyed Free Admission, Live Music, German Food Tents, German Car Show, Beer tents and tons of fun and fellowship. Last year the event fielded upwards of 50 Mercedes, BMW and Porsche members that participated as SHAU CARs. FSC BMW’s had a reserved area on Herald Court in the heart of the festivities in which to display the Bimmers. FSC hosted an Information/Hospitality event tent for the day…with several new FSC members stopping by to meet the crew! This was a great day for a touring drive, coupled with some great food, fun and fellowship. And a great opportunity for FSC to turn-out and support a local community car event. FSC has many worthy vehicles from Vintage, Street, Racing, Modified and the every-day drivers. All are welcome. Mark your calendar for 2016, then come on and join the fun.
